Joanna Ayala

Joanna Ayala - Preschool Program Specialist

My name is Joanna Ayala. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, Chico. This is my 10th year working in education, as both a Speech-Language Pathologist and Program Specialist. I have experience working with preschool, elementary, and middle school aged children in the private setting as well as public schools. I joined Martinez Unified School District in 2014 and I am excited to be a part of the MEIPP team. I love working with preschoolers, and their families, and sharing in their excitement and curiosity to learn. I currently live in the East Bay with my husband, son, and our two dogs.

     Jackie Attiyeh - Speech

My name is Jackie Attiyeh and I have worked with this district since 2016.  I was born and raised in the East Bay, and I have lived in the area since I graduated from UC Davis where I studied psychology and linguistics.  When I began working in this field, I had experience working with all ages, but didn’t yet know how much I would learn to love working in a preschool setting.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year working and learning with your children and family!

   Mary Ann Bode - Speech

I was ‘transplanted’ to California about 26 years ago from the Midwest along with my husband and three children. I am Oma to two incredible grandchildren and I spend as time as possible in San Diego to be with them! Although I have worked with both adults and children, I am most passionate about working with children ages 0-5… along with you, their parents and caregivers. This will be my sixth year in Martinez, but have worked with children under 5 in center based programs and in private practice for the last 13 years. I consider opportunities to work with you and sharing in your child’s growth and development a privilege. I am grateful for your support and hope to keep open doors of communication. I anticipate a lot of fun and positive interactions with these little preschool Pandas!

    Emalee Warren - Speech-Language Pathologist

Born and raised in California, I moved to the East Bay seven years ago after completing both my undergraduate and graduate work at CSU Sacramento. I began my career working with Air Force families at a private practice in Fairfield. After wanting to be closer to home, I began working in schools throughout the area and have focused my educational interests in preschool-5th grade, early intervention, and children on the autism spectrum. Currently, I work for MUSD part-time as well as John Muir Health. I am enjoying the process of finding a balance of being a full-time SLP and a mom of an amazing little girl. I am very fortunate to be a small part of such a wonderful team here at MEIPP.
